Summit County Schools 2009 Art Expo

Twenty-six schools from the Summit County Schools System will participate in the Summit County Schools 2009 ART EXPO from April 8 to April 21, at the Portage Lakes Career Center. The event is FREE and open to the public from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays and from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Fridays. The PLCC will be closed April 10 – 13.

The Portage Lakes Career Center is located at 4401 Shriver Road in the City of Green.

Original art work, from students ranging in age from kindergarten through grade 12, will be organized, displayed and judged in the following categories: 3-Dimensional, Drawing, Painting and Mixed/Other Media. A first, second and third place ribbon will be awarded in each grade, in each of these categories. In addition, one “Best of Show” will be selected for each grade level.

An awards ceremony and reception for all participants and their families will be held at the Portage Lakes Career Center on Monday, April 20 from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

The Summit County Schools 2009 ART EXPO is organized by the Green Council of PTAs.
